Our gold medallist in the European-Style Export 2017 category of the European Beer Star Award has a rich golden yellow colour with a distinct touch of chestnut honey in the aroma. The antrunk is very full-bodied with the taste of freshly baked white bread and then goes into a honey-sweet, followed by a very fine hop bitter note in the night drink. The Schönramer Gold has the perfect harmony between hops and malt and is naturally cloudy in the barrel.
The Schönramer Gold is particularly good for hearty roasts and stew dishes, but also for cold plates, spicy sausage salads and cheese platters.
Special features of the production: intensive mash-in process, cold fermentation in open vats, long and cold post-fermentation of 6-8 weeks with “curls” for natural enrichment with carbonic acid of the beer. No pasteurization
